Terms of Use for ConnieWrites.com
All users of ConnieWrites.com agree to the following Terms of Use:
The user of this website understands that the information provided on this site is provided "as is" for the purpose of research, and that there are no guarantees, either written or implied, for those using this service or following the advice of any information on the website.
The current service provided by ConnieWrites.com is that of free writing and/or marketing analysis (of user website) for educational purposes. All writing and marketing analysis is overseen by a professional writer, but businesses using this service agree to indemnify and hold harmless Connie Chen and Steve McCardell (student writer and professional writer, respectively, for this site) upon their use of any material provided for them. ConnieWrites.com is only liable for instances of known plagiarism, which the writers pledge to avoid.
Businesses hoping to enjoy the benefit of this service must first provide a valid e-mail address for the ConnieWrites mailing list, and agree to receive occasional future messages by e-mail to announce news or offers from the site. Participation in this mailing list can be cancelled at any time, though free services are only offered to those on the list.
Businesses also acknowledge that this service is limited by available time and resources, and that only a few businesses applying for the service will actually be accepted. ConnieWrites is committed, however, to letting all applicants know whether they're accepted in a timely manner. Furthermore, businesses remaining on the mailing list may get future opportunities for service, even if declined for their initial request.
Businesses selected to receive free services understand that they will provide longer periods of time for work to be completed than they would when hiring a writer. This facilitates the education process inherent in this site. Those on a specific and/or tight deadline should hire professional assistance.
Businesses selected to receive free services will hold all copyrights for materials written on their behalf so long as they opt to use these materials. Rights for materials that are not used will be retained by Connie Chen. In the latter instance, all specific reference to the specific business will be removed.
Businesses producing hard copies of any written material will provide at least one copy to Connie Chen. Connie may also reference the business as a past, non-paying client, and may point to any work provided to the client unless the client arranges for a written agreement to the contrary.
Finally, businesses selected for free services will receive a copy of these Terms of Use and must sign and return a copy prior to services being rendered.
